Larrys Mabiala has quickly become one of the Timbers’ most important players, establishing a presence along the backline that transcends his two-and-a-half seasons with the team. During that time, both on the field and off, he’s become one of the team’s cultural cornerstone, providing an example both on the field and, for a team where facets like fatherhood and balance are disproportionately important, off.
