It's all eyes on Dallas in this episode of Talk Timbers!

Hosts Judah Newby and Jake Zivin discuss the Timbers' upcoming road trip to Texas this Saturday afternoon (kickoff: April 1, 2023 at 5:30pm PT). They reminisce on some of the past challenges of playing at Toyota Stadium and discuss the growth of former Timber Marco Farfan, who has become one of Dallas's most consistent players.

The hosts then invite FC Dallas writer Garrett Melcer on the show to give us insight into the team the Timbers will face on Saturday. Melcer mentions their recent loss to reigning MLS Cup champions, LAFC, but emphasizes their positive mentality and resilience in their previous games, coming back after conceding an early goal. He also talks about their "star man", 22-year-old forward Jesús Ferreira who scored 18 goals last season—a club record.

In this episode of Talk Timbers, hosts Jake Zivin and Judah Newby sit down to discuss the Timbers' difficult start to the season and the need for more goals from their strikers, but praising forward Tega Ikoba's first MLS goal at Atlanta, where his family was in attendance. Looking ahead to the home game this Saturday, March 25, they also discuss the Galaxy's slow start to the season and their missing key players.

Shannon Murray, the head coach of T2, then joins the show to talk about the club's structure, the relationship between T2 and the first team, and the importance of player development. Murray shares some insights into the team's preparations for the new season, including the role of academy players and the challenges they face. 

Murray also highlights some of the T2 players to watch out for this year.

Hosts Judah Newby and Jake Zivin break down last weekend's tough home loss to St. Louis City SC, and how the team will respond.  

Then they welcome Timbers head coach Giovanni Savarese to the show, as he preps the team for the Saturday, March 18 clash at Atlanta United. It will be the team's first trip back to Georgia since the 2018 MLS Cup. 

Savarese talks about moving on from injuries, Evander's continued growth and integration in Portland, the signing of Ivorian forward Franck Boli, and the group's mentality as they step into Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Defender Justin Rasmussen talks clean sheet, the season-opening win against Sporting Kansas City, and preparing for a showdown with defending–MLS Cup champs LAFC on Saturday, March 4.
